Video Editor. Director. Storyteller.
Kelvin Torres is a filmmaker born and raised in Puerto Rico. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Communications: Film Production, Videos, and Multimedia in Universidad Del Turabo in Gurabo, Puerto Rico. There, he focused on editing short films and was an intern at abc5 where he edited “En Record Extra”, a 30-minute talk show.
He later earned his MFA in Film Production in Full Sail University, where he wrote, directed and edited the award-winning film “New Kid In Town”, a drama about a teenager who goes to a new country and struggles with racism and being bullied. He led a production of 73 people and managed a budget of $25k. During his college years, Kelvin directed over 7 films and edited over 20. He collaborated in over 10 films working mostly as a boom operator. As a freelancer, he has also directed, produced and edited music videos for over 6 years. He has worked in big-budget productions like Netflix's "She's Gotta Have it" Season 2 as a camera assistant in the drone unit and Sony's "The Oath" Season 2 as a location assistant.
Kelvin worked as a Video Editor in the advertisement agency Arteaga & Arteaga in Puerto Rico for 2 years. There he worked with brands like Coca Cola Company, JCPenney, 20th Century Fox, Pfizer and more. In 2020 he moved to Fort Lauderdale, FL and started working as the Senior Video Editor in a marketing agency. He helped companies and franchises grow their businesses and sell more franchises creating compelling stories. Now, Kelvin works at Valuetainment where he has helped the company YouTube subscribers raise and his videos has gained millions of views.
